We love Fourth of July for hot dogs and hamburgers, homemade ice cream, sitting by the pool and of course fireworks. Here are a few easy ideas.

Add red, white and blue throw pillows to your Patio Sectional.

The party is not a party with without food. Bring spirit to the table with some of these.

Flag Cake: any sheet cake (we like angel food) with white icing, decorated with strawberries and blueberries. For an extra treat make the icing vanilla ice cream. Now we’re talking!

Red, White & Blue Ice Cubes: When you fill the ice trays, add Kool-Aide® Liquid to make those blue and red ice cubes. Or try these re-useable ones from EBay for $5.00.

Versatility Has Never Been So Now. Live Outside the Box!

Multi-functional and versatility are current requirements for today’s varying lifestyles. From single to party of two, then on to “baby makes three” is the popular path in family dynamics. Choosing furniture that adapts as you make lifestyle changes is smart living.

TV consoles “done right” can be the most used and reused item in the home. Evidence of this revealed is in a recent review of Walker Edison’s Urban Blend console. Cheap is the New Classy, blogger Dawn McAlexander, reviewed this TV console for her readers and validated our live outside the box philosophy by using this TV console as a bookcase instead of a TV console in her bedroom. Go to her blog post to see how she uses it for her home.

The thin depth of the Urban Blend TV console lets it live in many rooms of your home-living room, bedroom or studio apartment. The 16” depth and the 60” width dimensions can support up to a 65” flat screen television without dominating the room, leaving plenty of sitting or bed area.

Got a big wall or need to use as a divider in a loft environment the 70” console plus media towers make the perfect statement. Two finishes, Ash Grey/Black and Charcoal/Black combination options, cover most decorating themes.

The storage areas, two door cabinets, one drawer cabinet and an open shelf let you have a DVD player accessible from a remote.

The drawer is a great quick fix to clean up toys at the end of the day.

So what makes this the pièce de résistance? Its retail price ranges from $359 to $399 and at those prices you get plenty of look for your money.
